- Air conditioning ducts
In the area of ceiling cladding, we offer complete systems or individual components. Ceilings with air ducts, cable ducts, lighting and cladding parts are referred to as a system.
Mainly aluminum and sandwich components are used for this purpose. Due to innovative production processes, special sound-absorbing components can also be manufactured.
Lighting systems are available in every conceivable variant. Lights can be purchased as individual components or integrated directly into our ceiling modules.
Common combinations are sheet metal housings with polycarbonate covers or grids. For ballasts, we rely on tried and tested products in the rail vehicle sector. Various tools are available for polycarbonate covers. To extend the lighting range, we offer spotlights. We only use materials that have been tested according to the current fire standards.
Schlegel AG luggage carriers are modular and can be made of different materials, such as sheet metal, aluminium profiles, cast aluminium, glass, polycarbonate and wood.
Our luggage carriers are always designed and manufactured taking into account weight, loads, fire protection, assembly, durability, design and functionality.
With us you get everything from a single source! We offer complete interior cladding according to individual customer requirements. This includes bulkhead panelling, headboards and partitions as well as side wall panelling.
We construct these components in a modular structure and meet the requirements of lightweight construction, fire protection and strength. We use environmentally friendly materials and adhere to “Innovative and Functional Design”. In the area of non-metallic materials, we work successfully with partners who are well-known in rail vehicle construction.

Air conditioning ducts
Air conditioning ducts or air ducts are required at various points in the vehicle. Regardless of whether it is on the roof, on the floor or on the outside of the vehicle, we can support you right from the development stage. The air conditioning ducts are made of versatile materials such as sheet metal and insulation or fire-resistant plastic materials such as phenolic resin foam. They can also be supplemented with flexible air hoses made of aluminum or composite materials.
Air ducts in modern rail vehicles have diverse requirements. Fire standards have to be met, material expansion has to be compensated for and car body tolerances have to be taken into account. In addition, the ducts must be designed to be easy to clean. All our air-conditioning ducts are designed in lightweight construction. With our many years of experience, we can help you design and manufacture durable ducts to meet your requirements.
